Preliminary Work

  1. Remove engine compartment lid.

    > WM, 557819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COMPARTMENT LID

  2. Remove rear wall cover.

    > WM, 555919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR WALL FLAP

  3. Move charge-air cooler into service position.

    > 214309 SERVICE POSITION OF CHARGE-AIR COOLER .

  4. Remove air-conditioning compressor.

    > WM, 873419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR

  5. Remove oil separator.

    > 105519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OIL SEPARATOR .

  6. Remove rear underbody cover.

    > Refer to appropriate service information for Removing and installing cover for rear underbody.
