Information on bedding in new brake pads and brake discs:

New brake pads and new brake discs need a bedding-in time of about 200 km (125 miles).
Only then do they achieve their best friction coefficient and wear values.
The slightly reduced braking effect must be compensated for by increased pressure on the brake pedal.
