Removing Bottom Joint

Information
After removing the steering column, the bottom joint is in two parts:

- Bottom joint (lower section)
- Bottom joint (upper section)
- Steering column
- The upper section -2- is fitted on the universal joint of the steering column -3-.
- The lower section -1- is fitted on the universal joint of the power-steering gear.
- Remove bottom joint (upper section).
Loosening bottom joint from steering column
- 1.1 Loosen clamping screw -1- from the bottom joint -2- on the steering column -3- .
- 1.2 Slide the bottom joint -2- down off the steering column -2- (-arrow- ).
- Remove bottom joint (lower section).
- 2.1 Remove front left wheel

Unclip and remove control arm spoiler (air guide for brake cooling) at the back of the diagonal arm.

Disconnect universal joint from the steering gear,

- 2.4 Carefully remove bottom joint (lower section) from the wheel housing.
