Removing Steering Wheel

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Turn the wheels to straight-ahead position.
  2. Only for vehicles with heated steering wheel (l-no. 345) 

    Release and disconnect electric plug connection for steering wheel heating -1-  .

  3. Release plug connection for airbag wire harness -2-  and disconnect it -arrow-  .

  4. Unscrew and remove screw -1-  .

    Unscrewing screw

    Information 

    Immediately after unscrewing the screw and before  removing the steering wheel, mark the position of the steering wheel between the steering wheel and steering column -2-  .

    This ensures that the steering wheel as well as the airbag spring will be fitted in the same position on the steering column again during re-installation.

  5. Remove steering wheel.
