Removing Lower Trailing Arm

  1. Loosen ball joint on the level sensor linkage -1-  from the lower trailing arm.

  2. Loosen control arm spoiler (air guide for brake Cooling) on the lower trailing arm and turn it up.

  3. Remove lower trailing arm from the wheel bearing housing.

    1. 3.1  Coat the bellows and press-out tool with tire mounting paste to prevent damage to the bellows on the ball joint.
    2. 3.2  Unscrew fastening nut on the ball joint of the lower trailing arm -1-  and press off the ball joint using > 9560 - press-out tool-2-. 
  4. Loosen threaded connection -2-  securing diagonal arm -1-  to lower trailing arm.

  5. Unscrew fastening screw securing lower trailing arm to front-axle cross member. > Lower trailing arm  to front-axle  cross member

  6. Remove lower trailing arm.
