Installing Wheel

- If heavily soiled, clean wheel bolts and spherical caps -1 and 2-
with a lint-free cloth.
Cleaning wheel bolt
- Clean contact surface -1-
on the wheel hub and brake disc if necessary.
Grease wheel centring surface on the wheel hub -arrows- with a very light coating of Optimoly TA (aluminium paste).
The contact surface on the brake disc -1- and on the wheel must not be greased.
Greasing wheel centring surface
- Fit wheel.
- 3.1 On vehicles with PCCB (I-no. 450)
Screw assembly aids -1- into two threaded holes that are not next to each other.
- 3.2 Carefully push on the wheel.
- 3.3 Screw in wheel bolts or the remaining wheel bolts.
- 3.4 On vehicles with PCCB (I-no. 450)
Replace assembly aids -1- with wheel bolts.
Installing assembly aids (threaded bolts for fitting wheel)
- 3.5 Fit wheel bolts and tighten uniformly. Start at the top when tightening. > Tightening torque 160 Nm (118 ftlb.)
- 3.1 On vehicles with PCCB (I-no. 450)
