- Danger of fire or explosion

- → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
- → Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
- → Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.
Information
- The battery voltage must not fall below 12.5 volts during the fuel pressure check.
- Connect a suitable battery charger.
- Connect a battery charger.
- Attach or mount a warning sign in a clearly visible position on the vehicle.
- Relieve fuel pressure in the system.
- 3.1 Remove cover on the fuse carrier in the passenger compartment at the front left.
- 3.2 Pull out the fuse -2 - for the fuel pump.
- 3.3 Start the engine, wait until it cuts out and then re-insert the fuse -2 -.
- Remove rear underbody cover.

- Remove fuel low-pressure line at the underbody.
- 5.1 Place a cloth underneath the connection point for the fuel low-pressure line.
- 5.2 Open plug-in coupling -1 - for fuel low-pressure line -double arrow- .
- 5.3 Open the line bracket -4
- and pull off fuel low-pressure line.CAUTION: Residual pressure can cause fuel to spray out! Wear protective goggles.
- Have special tool > 9705 - measurement adapter , a fuel-resistant container, a measuring cup and a stopwatch to hand for measuring the amount of fuel delivered.

- with the connecting line must be fitted on the fuel line.
The connecting line consists of connecting line no. 18 from VAG 1318 and the long line from the two > P378c - Connecting lines .
Make sure that the plug-in coupling is fitted securely (it must lock with an audible click).
- Insert drain hose into a petrol-resistant container. Secure the container to prevent it from falling over.
