Installing Exhaust Manifold

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install exhaust manifold.
    1. 1.1 Place exhaust manifold with new manifold seals in installation position.
    2. 1.2 Screw in one screw on each side of the exhaust manifold by 2-3 turns.
    3. 1.3 Push in seal on flange between exhaust manifold and turbocharger.
    4. 1.4 Screw in studs on the turbocharger flange.
    5. 1.5 Screw in screw for exhaust manifold flange holder by 3-4 turns.
    6. 1.6 Tighten all exhaust manifold screws in the specified sequence -1 - 12-  to > Initial tightening 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 45°  .
    7. 1.7 Tighten screw on exhaust manifold flange holder to > Tightening torque 25 Nm (19 ftlb.)  .
    8. 1.8 Tighten new nuts on the turbocharger flange to > Tightening torque 25 Nm (19 ftlb.) +/- 10 %  .
