Removing Rear-Axle Cross Member

Installation position of rear-axle cross member

1. Remove angle sensor -1-  (with holder] from the rear-axle cross member on both sides of the vehicle.

   Angle sensor mounting

   1. 1.1  Unscrew fastening screw fusing a ring wrench or > V.A.G 1331/13 - Ring wrench insert, a/f 10  and set angle sensor aside with electric line connected.
2. Loosen threaded joint -1-  on both sides of the vehicle (unscrew fastening screw using a joint and extension and counter at the fastening nut with a ring wrench) and remove rear-axle cross member -2-  by pulling it downwards.
