Installing Coolant Distributor Housing
- Danger of chemical burns
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- → Ensure that there is good ventilation.
- → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
- → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
Information
- Coat O-rings, hoses and lines in the cooling system with Kluberplus Gel (Part No. 000.043.205.93).
- Check seals -1-
on the coolant pipe and replace them if necessary.
Seals on coolant pipe
- Check moulded seals on the distributor housing and replace them if necessary.
- Check seals on the coolant line and all other seals and replace them if necessary.
- Further installation is performed in reverse order to removal.
Check that the dowel sleeve and moulded seals are fitted correctly.
Fastening screws on crash reinforcement, M6 x 40 > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) .
Fastening screws on crash reinforcement, M8 x 75 > Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.) .

Fastening screws securing coolant distributor housing to housing > Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.) .
Fastening screw securing coolant line to distributor housing > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) .
Fastening screw securing coolant line holder to distributor housing > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) .
Fastening screws securing bracket for belt tensioner to housing > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) > Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.) .
