Removing Coolant Pump

WARNING: Caustic fluids

Danger of chemical burns
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- → Ensure that there is good ventilation.
- → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
- → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

Have a suitable container ready for collecting coolant.
Remove heat shield -2- .
1. 2.1 Unscrew screws -1- on heat shield -2- .
2. 2.2 Remove heat shield -2- .

Remove coolant pump -3- .
1. 3.1 For vehicles without particle filter:
  Disconnect vacuum line -1- .
2. 3.2 Unscrew screws -2- .
3. 3.3 Remove coolant pump -3- and collect emerging coolant.

Check the coolant pump pulley for damage and replace it if necessary.
