Removing Coolant Reservoir

WARNING:
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- → Ensure that there is good ventilation.
- → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
- → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
- Open the luggage compartment and unclip covers -1- by prising them upwards using a suitable tool.
- Fold luggage compartment carpet -2-
to the rear -arrow-

Covers
- Release return line -1- and disconnect it.
- Fold foam -2- to the rear -arrow A- .
- Remove filler neck.
- 5.1 Loosen spring clamp -3- .
- 5.2 Pull filler neck -4- up and off -arrow B- .
- 5.3 Re-fit spring clamp -3- .
Filler neck
- Release and pull off connection -1- for the bleeder valve on the reservoir -2- .
- Move vent line -3- aside.
- Loosen spring band clamp -4-
and pull hose -5-
off the reservoir -2-

Bleeder valve on reservoir
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- .
- Loosen spring band clamps -3 and 4-
and pull off coolant hoses -5-

Removing reservoir
- Screw off fastening nuts -1- .
- Remove the reservoir -2-
from the studs and pull it up and out -arrow-
