Removing Coolant Reservoir

WARNING: Caustic fluids

Danger of chemical burns
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- → Ensure that there is good ventilation.
- → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
- → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

Open the luggage compartment and unclip covers -1- by prising them upwards using a suitable tool.
Fold luggage compartment carpet -2- to the rear -arrow- .

Covers
Release return line -1- and disconnect it.
Fold foam -2- to the rear -arrow A- .
Remove filler neck.
1. 5.1 Loosen spring clamp -3- .
2. 5.2 Pull filler neck -4- up and off -arrow B- .
3. 5.3 Re-fit spring clamp -3- .

Filler neck
Release and pull off connection -1- for the bleeder valve on the reservoir -2- .
Move vent line -3- aside.
Loosen spring band clamp -4- and pull hose -5- off the reservoir -2- .

Bleeder valve on reservoir
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- .
Loosen spring band clamps -3 and 4- and pull off coolant hoses -5- .

Removing reservoir
Screw off fastening nuts -1- .
Remove the reservoir -2- from the studs and pull it up and out -arrow- .
