Draining Coolant At The Radiator

WARNING: Hot fluid

Danger of scalding
- → Let the fluid cool down.
- → Wear personal protective gear.

WARNING: Caustic fluids

Danger of chemical burns
- → Wear personal protective gear.
- → Ensure that there is good ventilation.
- → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
- → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

Open cap -1- on the coolant reservoir in the luggage compartment and remove it.

Coolant reservoir
Have a suitable container ready for collecting coolant.
Pull off coolant hose -3- .
1. 3.1 Loosen spring clamp on the plug-in coupling.
2. 3.2 Pull off coolant hose -3- and collect emerging coolant.
3. 3.3 Re-fit spring clamp, but do not connect coolant hose yet.

Supply and return hose connections (side radiator)
Replace O-ring.
Coat new O-ring with the specified lubricant.
Fit coolant hose and pull on the hose to check that it is secure.
