Checking Intake-Air Distributor For Leaks

- Secure test tool to throttle housing.
- 1.1 Fit rubber sleeve -1 - to throttle housing and secure with a screw-type clamp.
- 1.2 > 9264/6 - Stopper-2 - must be inserted into the rubber sleeve. Then secure with a screw-type clamp.
- Rubber sleeve: Original Porsche part number 966.110.686.02
- Special tool > 9264/6 - Stopper
- Check intake-air distributor for leaks.
- 2.1 Connect compressed air hose with pressure gauge to the valve.
- 2.2 Build up overpressure of max. 0.8 bar in the intake system!
- 2.3 To make it easier to find leaks (bubbles), coat accessible sealing points with commercially available leak-locating spray.

Leaks at more difficult-to-reach joints can be detected by obvious air-leak sounds.
- 2.4 Check intake-air distributor acoustically and visually for leaks.
- Remove test tool from throttle housing.
