- Storage, installation and removal, transport and disposal of vehicles, assemblies, operating materials and auxiliary materials,
- handling of defective and potentially hazardous vehicles as well as assemblies,
- handling of battery electric vehicles and high-voltage components.
For this purpose, take into account relevant and qualified information sources such as local authorities, responsible importers, associations and specialist website. Deliver items to be disposed of only to authorised reception points.

- When packaging and sending lithium-ion batteries or lithium-ion modules, always follow the guidelines provided by the German Federal Office for Materials Research and Testing (BAM).

Information
- The lithium-ion module must only be packed by an appropriately trained and authorised person using the additional instructions "Packing critical batteries in new metal containers" .
- Metal containers and hollow glass granulate (Extover® or PyroBubbles®) are required for packing a critical battery .
- The metal container and hollow glass granulate are supplied by a logistics expert named by Porsche, who will take away the packed battery (Europe) .
- The metal container and hollow glass granulate are available from the dealer organisation in the event of a critical battery (rest of the world) .
- The critical battery must only be packed in a designated work area .
- The lithium-ion battery with battery status "Warning" (critical) must be disposed of in accordance with local legal requirements and transport regulations .
Metal container for high-voltage modules
- Dimensions (length x width x height): approx. 1.8 x 1.4 x 1.4 m
- Transport of max. 8 HV modules
- Weight: ~ 1.6 t (incl. filling material and battery)
- Mask terminals of the lithium-ion module.
- Open metal container.
- Measure -1-
25 cm from the floor inside the metal container -2-
and mark this on the container wall (inside) using a water-resistant marker.

- Wear protective clothing, breathing mask as well as goggles and protective gloves.
- Position air extraction hose -2-
in the metal container -1-
in order to extract the dust and switch on the air extraction system.

up to the edge until the line marked on the inner wall of the container is completely covered by hollow glass granulate.

- Place lithium-ion module on hollow glass granulate in the metal container.

- 7.1IMPORTANT: The gap -A- between the lithium-ion module and metal container must be at least 12 cm.
- 7.2IMPORTANT: It must be possible to cover the lithium-ion module with at least 20 cm of hollow glass granulate from above.

- Close the metal container and secure it with the tension locks.

- 9.2 Fit lid on the metal container and lift it up again. Perform visual inspections. The cross on the inside of the lid must be visibly pressed down in the hollow glass granulate. If it is, the metal container is filled correctly.
- 9.3 If necessary, -2- adjust the tension locks using the lock nut so that the lid of the metal container -1- is securely sealed.

- Affix identification sticker -4- for the battery on both long sides of the metal container next to the UN 3480 -1-3- sticker.
- Attach document bag
Information
The original test log for classification of the lithium-ion battery must be kept in the Porsche Centre.
- Complete accompanying documentation and place it in the document bag together with another copy of the test log for classification of the lithium-ion battery.
- Affix "Item number (large)" label on one short side of the transport box.
