Making Ground Connection Using A Rivet Nut

  1. Drill a hole. > Diameter 4 mm

  2. Remove dirt and primer using an end brush > 9399/3 - end brush  .

  3. Drill out the bore. > Diameter 11 mm

  4. De-burr the bore on both sides.
  5. Fit and tighten blind rivet nut. > BLIND RIVET NUT 999.500.196.01  > V.A.G 1765C - Pop Rivet Nut Pliers

  6. Screw on components using a countersunk screw. > COUNTERSUNK SCREW 999.073.549.01 
  7. Tighten threaded joint to the specified torque. > Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)
