Removing (Inner) Rear Wheel Housing

Joint connections

Information 

Only drill hole through the top sheet-metal panel. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

1. 1.1 Drill out spotwelds -A-  using > VAS 882 001 - spot-weld breaker. 
2. 1.2 Loosen friction element welded joints -B-  .

   > 5X00IN29 REPLACING FRICTION ELEMENT WELDED JOINT

3. 1.3 Unscrew self-tapping screws.
4. 1.4 Grind down welded seams -1-  .

1. 2.1 Drill out penetrated joints using > Diameter 4 mm  .

   > 5X00IN23 REPLACING PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED JOINTS

2. 2.2 Unscrew self-tapping screws -2-  .
3. 2.3 Grind down welded seams -1-  .

1. 4.1 Remove punch rivets using > VAS 852 001 - dent removal unit  and > VAS 6790 - compact booster. 

   > 5X00IN23 REPLACING PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED JOINTS

2. 4.2 Unscrew self-tapping screws -1-  .
