Preparing (Outer) Rear Wheel Housing (Section) For Installation

1. Cut spare part to size.

   Cut on spare part

   1. 1.1 Mark spare part in accordance with the cut on the body with an overlap of -Dimension A-  > Distance 20 mm  .
   2. 1.2 Make cut on spare part.
2. Fit in (outer) rear wheel housing (section) and secure it to the body.
3. Prepare (outer) rear wheel housing (section).

   Joints

   1. 3.1 Drill bore holes for blind rivets -LHD vehicle -  through both sheetmetal plates using > Diameter 6.6 mm  .
   2. 3.2 Punch holes for flow-form rivets -RHD vehicle -  .

      > 5X00IN23 REPLACING PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED JOINTS

4. Prepare joints.

   Joints

   1. 4.1 Drill bore holes for blind rivets -LHD vehicle -  using a drill bit with a diameter of > Diameter 6.6 mm  .
   2. 4.2 Drill bore holes -RHD vehicle -  for blind rivets through both sheet metal plates using > diameter 6.5 mm  .
      1. 4.2.1 Counterbore the rivet holes with > VAS 6957 - 100°countersink. 
5. Drill bore holes for blind rivets through both sheetmetal plates using > Diameter 6.6 mm  .

6. Remove (outer) rear wheel housing.
7. Prepare marked area for bonding and riveting.
