Installing Side Section-Lower Part

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Fit side section-lower part and check that it fits perfectly.

   Information 

   • Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. 
2. Apply adhesive on bonding areas -A-  of the body.

   Bonding areas

   Information 

   • Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. 
3. Apply adhesive on side section lower part.

   > Application height 0.5 mm

   Outer bonding areas

   1. 3.1 Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the bonding surface.

      > Application depth 3 mm 

   Information 

   • Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface. 
4. Apply adhesive in area -A-  on side section-lower part.

   > Application height 0.5 mm

   Inner bonding areas

   1. 4.1 Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the bonding surface.

      > Application depth 3 mm 

5. Rivet in side section-lower part.

6. Drill hole for countersunk blind rivet through both panels using > Diameter 6.5 mm  .

   1. 6.1 Make counterbore at the rivet hole using > VAS 6957 - 100° countersink. 
7. Rivet in side section-lower part.

8. Make ground connection.
