Preparing Inner Side Member For Installation

Information

Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive.
The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed.
Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available.

Fit in inner side member and secure it to the body.
Drill bore holes for blind rivets -B- through both sheet metal plates using > diameter 6.6 mm .

Remove inner side member.
Prepare inner side member for joining.

Joint areas
1. 4.1 Prepare inner side member in areas -A- for resistance spot-welding.
2. 4.2 Prepare inner side member in area -B- for bonding and riveting.
