Preparing Spring Strut Mount For Installation

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Fit in spring strut mount and secure it to the body.
2. Drill bore holes for blind rivets through both sheet metal plates using > diameter 6.6 mm  .

5. Prepare joints at the front.

   Front joints

   1. 5.1 Drill bore holes for blind rivets -A-  using a drill bit with a diameter of > Diameter 6.6 mm  .
   2. 5.2 Drill bore hole for countersunk blind rivet -B-  using a drill bit with a diameter of > Diameter 6.5 mm  .
   3. 5.3 Make counterbore at the rivet hole -B-  using > VAS 6957 - 100° countersink  .
6. Remove spring strut mount.
7. Prepare front spring strut mount for bonding and riveting.
