Removing Lock Carrier
- Unscrew screw -1-
and pull off washer-fluid reservoir -2-
.

WARNING: Improper handling of airbag units- Triggering of airbag unit.
- System faults can occur.
→ Remove ignition key or remote control (hand-held transmitter) and keep it outside of the transmission range.
→ External power supply must be de-energised.
→ Disconnect the battery and isolate the ground strap so that all contact with a ground carrier is avoided.
→ Wait 1 minute after disconnecting the battery.
→ Only pull off connector on the triggering unit after the waiting time has elapsed.
→ Keep space in front of the airbag unit free.
→ Replace damaged parts.
→ Always set airbag units down with the blow-out opening facing upwards.
→ Do not place any objects on the airbag units.
→ Store airbag units in a safe place.
→ Avoid contact with grease, oil, detergents, liquids or similar substances.
→ Store airbag units in a cool place. Maximum temperature: 90 °C.

- 2.1 Release and unplug electric plug connection -3- .
- 2.2 Unscrew screw -1- .
- 2.3 Remove front sensor -2- .
- Unclip electric line -2-

- Lift front apron and guide out the lock carrier.
