Disassembling And Assembling Shaft (Rear)

1. Remove circlip -1-  .

2. Press off old bearing -3-  using a > VAS 6654 - workshop press-4-  .

   Press-out process for old bearing

   1. 2.1 Position shaft -1-  on the > VW402 - pressure plate-2-  .
   2. 2.2 Press off bearing -3-Arrow-  .
3. Press in new bearing -1-  .

   Information 

   Make sure that the inner bearing ring is positioned on the pressure plate and the outer bearing ring can be turned during the press-in process.

   1. 3.1 Position bearing -1-  at a suitable position on the > VW402 - pressure plate-2-  .
   2. 3.2 Press the shaft -3-  as far as it will go into the bearing -1-  using a > VAS 6654 - workshop press  .
4. Fit new circlip -1-  .
