Removing Front Pneumatic Spring
CAUTION:
Improper handling of pneumatic springs
- Pneumatic springs can burst
- Risk of eye injuries
- Risk of bruising
→ To remove the pneumatic springs, they must be at rest.
→ Open the lid.
→ Secure the lid to prevent it from closing accidentally following removal of the pneumatic springs.
→ Do not use force to open the pneumatic springs because of their high internal pressure.
Information
The help of a second person is required for the following steps.
- Open the front lid.
- Loosen front pneumatic spring -1-
at the lid.

- 2.1 Guide a screwdriver in between the pneumatic spring -1-
and safety clip -2-

Information
The safety clip loses its preload if removed.
- 2.2 Loosen safety clip -2- by levering -arrow A- the screwdriver -arrow B- in such a way that the safety clip -2- remains in the head of the pneumatic spring.
- 2.3 Remove front pneumatic spring -1- on the lid.
- 2.1 Guide a screwdriver in between the pneumatic spring -1-
and safety clip -2-

- Loosen front pneumatic spring -1-
on the body.
