Repairing Antenna Cable In The Central Computer PCM Control Unit Area

Antenna cable in the central computer PCM control unit area

1. 1.1  Unclip clip -2-  using a plastic spatula and place electric wire harness -3-  in the footwell on the side.
2. 1.2  Expose damaged area of the antenna cable -1-  from the electric wire harness -3-  .

Information 

Antenna cable with a multi-pin electric plug connection -2-  cannot be repaired. A repair wire harness must be -1-  used for this.

The repair wire harness is routed up to the possible connection points for the affected antenna cables and repaired at the connection points.

Multi-pin connector -3-  must not be opened at plug lock -A-  . The connector is damaged when opened.

Connection points for antenna cable

1. 2.1  On the main wire harness -9-  , rewind the sleeve at the marked area -A-  .
2. 2.2  Determine the associated antenna cable by performing a continuity test via the shields, mark and disconnect antenna cables.
3. 2.3  Secure repair wire harness along the main wire harness and shorten it to the required lengths.
