General Procedure For Repairing Antenna Cable
- Check that electric plug connections to antenna cable are positioned correct.
Information
If the antenna cable and other electric lines in the main wire harness are damaged, e.g. due to significant external influences, the relevant sub-part must also be replaced (if fitted).
If the antenna cable is damaged in an inaccessible area, the area can be replaced with a self-made adapter cable using the special tool.
Adapter cable
If the antenna cable in the electric plug connection area is damaged, the antenna cable must be repaired using a new connector from the special tool or a self-made adapter cable.
- Visually inspect electrical wire harness with antenna cable for abrasions, kinked or crushed lines and line breakage.
