Removing The Seat Well Floor

  1. Mark and make cut -A-  in the seat well floor.

  2. Loosen joints.

    Joint connections

    1. 2.1 Remove punch rivets -A-  using >VAS 852 001 - dent removal unit  and >VAS 6790 - compact booster  .

      > 5X00IN23 REPLACING PUNCH RIVETS AND PENETRATED JOINTS

      Information 

      Only drill hole through the top sheet-metal panel. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

    2. 2.2 Drill out spotwelds -B-  using >VAS 882 001 - spot-weld breaker  .
    3. 2.3 Grind down welded seams -1-  .
  3. Heat bonding areas using >V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower  .

  4. Remove the floor of the seat well.
