Removing A-Pillar Reinforcement (Section)

Information 

Only drill through one plate thickness on the spotwelds. Do not damage the component underneath.

Information 

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

1. Separate welded seams.

2. Unscrew self-tapping screws.

3. Mark and cut at dimension -A -  .>Distance from lower edge of A-pillar reinforcement 347 mm

4. Drill out spotwelds.

5. Drill out spotweld through two plate thicknesses.

6. Heat the marked bonding areas using >V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower  .

7. Remove A-pillar reinforcement (section).
