Removing Lock Carrier

Remove ignition key or remote control (hand-held transmitter) and keep it outside of the transmission range.

• External power supply must be de-energised.
• Disconnect the battery and isolate the ground strap so that all contact with a ground carrier is avoided.
• Wait 1 minute after disconnecting the battery.
• Only pull off connector on the triggering unit after the waiting time has elapsed.
• Keep space in front of the airbag unit free.
• Replace damaged parts.
• Always set airbag units down with the blow-out opening facing upwards.
• Do not place any objects on the airbag units.
• Store airbag units in a safe place.
• Avoid contact with grease, oil, detergents, liquids or similar substances.
• Store airbag units in a cool place. Maximum temperature: 90 °C.

1. Unscrew screw -1-  and pull off washer-fluid reservoir -2-  .

2. Remove front sensor -2-  .

   1. 2.1. Release and unplug electric plug connection -3-  .
   2. 2.2. Unscrew screw -1-  .
   3. 2.3. Remove front sensor -2-  .
3. Unclip electric line -2-  (-1-  ) and set it aside.

5. Unscrew and remove screws -1-  and -2-  .

7. Lift front apron and guide out the lock carrier.
