Installing Windscreen
CAUTION:
Danger of material damage if specified curing time of adhesive is not observed! In order to ensure that the bonded joint is sufficiently strong, the following conditions must be adhered to:
- The vehicle must not be used until the curing time has elapsed.
- Curing time: 2 hours
- Temperature: at least 10 °C
- Fixing time: approx. 1 hour

- When applying adhesive to a vehicle window, make sure there is a gap of at least > Required value 5 mm > between the adhesive bead and seal profile.

- Check stop bits.
- Replace damaged or missing stop bits.

- The fixing force of the suction cup can be increased by moistening it.
- > V.A.G 1344 - Suction lifter
must be attached to the outside of the windscreen.

- Apply Porsche 2-component window adhesive on the windscreen.
Adhesive bead
- 2.1 Only for new windscreens: Apply Porsche 2-component window adhesive along the preliminary coat on the primer on the windscreen as a triangular bead measuring -X- (approx, 15 cm).
- 2.2 For old and pre-applied windscreens: Apply Porsche 2-component window adhesive on the old worn bead of adhesive as a triangular bead of adhesive measuring -X- (approx. 15 mm).

- Two persons are needed to insert and adjust the windscreen.
- Insert the windscreen -1-
into the body.
Windscreen
- 3.1 Guide the windscreen -1- into the body aperture.
- 3.2 Position the windscreen -1- on the lower edge -Arrows A- and fit it -Arrow B- .
- Align the windscreen according to gap dimensions.
Windscreen to roof assembly: > Gap dimension 2 mm - 0.5 mm + 0.8 mm > and > Offset 1 mm - 1.0 mm + 1.1 mm
Windscreen to A-pillar: > Gap dimension 2.5 mm +/- 0.7 mm > and > Offset - 2.5 mm +/- 0.8 mm
- Secure the windscreen -1-
with suitable adhesive tape -2-
to prevent it from slipping.
Windscreen
- Remove suction lifter > V.A.G 1344 - Suction lifter .
- Clean visible area.
- 7.1 Remove any adhesive that has oozed out immediately and clean the affected visible area using cleaning agent.
