Installing Inner Side Member

Information

Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive.
The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed.
Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available.

Information

Fit inner side member and check that it fits perfectly.
Apply adhesive on bonding areas -B- of the body.

Joint areas
Apply adhesive in areas -B- on the inner side member.

1. 3.1 Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the bonding surface -B- .

Blind rivets
1. 4.1 Resistance spot-weld the inner side member in areas -A- .
2. 4.2 Rivet in inner side member in areas -B- .
  >BLIND RIVET 999.190.229.01
3. 4.3 Apply a full steel weld in areas -1- .
Secure inner side member.

Steel welding
1. 5.1 Resistance spot-weld the inner side member.
2. 5.2 Apply a full steel weld in areas -1- .
