- Apply adhesive evenly over the entire bonding surface.

- Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well.

- Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive.
- The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed.
- Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available.
- Tack on sheetmetal insert used as welding backing strip on the body.
Welding backing strip
- Install outer roof pillar section and check that it fits perfectly.
- Weld flow-form welding rivet -A-
through bore on the body.

- Remove outer roof pillar section.
- Apply adhesive on bonding areas -A-
of the body.

>Application depth 0, 5 mm

- Apply adhesive on bonding areas -A-
of outer roof pillar section.

- 6.1 Also apply a bead of adhesive all around the bonding surface.

- 7.1 Press flow-form welding rivet -A- .
- 7.2 -B- >BLIND RIVET 999.190.228.01
- Apply a full aluminum weld to the outer roof pillar section.
