Removing Padding For Front Backrest

Information 

Do not remove or loosen the suction fan.

1. Remove headrest -1-  .

   1. 1.1 Unscrew screws -3-  .
   2. 1.2 Pull -2-  out locking pins -1-  on the headrest.
   3. 1.3 Remove headrest -1-  .
2. Unscrew screws on retainer plate for guide part -1-  and release clips -2-  .

4. Disengage -Arrows-  front backrest cover -1-  from backrest cushion -2-  .

5. Loosen front backrest cover -1-  between the backrest and front seat.

6. Only for vehicles with massage seats (I-no. 4D0, 4D2, 4D4, 4D5, 4D6, 4D7 or 4D9): 
   1. 6.1 Disconnect air valves -1-  .
   2. 6.2 Disengage control valve -2-  for air cushion.
   3. 6.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -3-  from control valve for air cushion -2-  .

7. Only for vehicles with front 14-way comfort seats (I-no. Q2J) or front 18-way sports seats (I-no. Q1J): 

   Disengage hoses -1-  from holder -2-  and guide them out.

8. Only for vehicles with seat heating (I-no. 4A3 or 4A4): 

   Release and disconnect electric plug connection for backrest heating.

9. Only for vehicles with massage seats (I-no. 4D1, 4D2, 4D3, 4D5, 4D6 or 4D9): 

   Disengage air duct for backrest suction fan from the inner spring.

10. Remove padding for front backrest.
