Installing Fuel Line (High-Pressure, Left)

Information 

Check fuel line for damage following removal and replace it if necessary.

1. Coat thread on union nuts with Microgleit DF 977S. Observe a drying time of at least 5 minutes before fitting.
2. Guide in fuel line and fit union nut -1-  on high-pressure fuel line at the right by hand.

3. Press sound absorber aside and fit union nut -1-  on the left rail by hand.

4. Screw in and tighten screws -1-  .

   > tightening torque 8 Nm (5.9 ftlb.) 

   > final tightening torque 45°

5. Tighten union nuts using > T40055 - socket-wrench insert  .

   > tightening torque of 10 Nm (7.4 ftlb.) 

   > Torque angle 60° 

6. Fit brake booster vacuum line -2-  and connect line connection -1-  .

7. Secure additional coolant pump coolant pipe -1-  .
   1. 7.1 Position additional coolant pump -1-  .
   2. 7.2 Fasten spring band clamp -3-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers  .
   3. 7.3 Screw in and tighten screws -2 and 4-  .

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
