Installing Oxygen Sensor Downstream Of Catalytic Converter On Cylinder Bank 1

Information 

• When re-installing oxygen sensors, only grease the thread with lubricant (see PET). 
• Make sure that the lubricant does not get into the slits in the sensor body. 
• New oxygen sensors have already been greased and the thread is fitted with a protection cap. 

1. Install oxygen sensor -1-  downstream of primary catalytic converter on cylinder bank 1.
   1. 1.1 Grease thread of oxygen sensor -1-  with hot screw paste before installation.
      1. 1.1.1 Make sure that the paste does not get into the slits in the sensor body.
   2. 1.2 Carefully screw in and tighten oxygen sensor -1-  .

      > Tightening torque 52 Nm (38 ftlb.) 

   3. 1.3 Route line -2-  .
      1. 1.3.1 Route the line -2-  and clip it into the cable duct -3-  .
      2. 1.3.2 Secure line -2-  in the holders -5-  .
   4. 1.4 Connect electric plug connection -4-  in the engine compartment.

2. Secure oxygen sensor line -1-  .
   1. 2.1 Position holder -2-  as shown.
