Removing Coolant Reservoir

WARNING: Hot fluid 
  • Danger of scalding 

    → Avoid contact with hot fluid.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

  1. Unscrew nut -2-  , unclip line bracket -3-  and set positive cable -4-  aside.

    Disconnecting positive cable

    Information 

    After disconnecting hoses, close off all openings immediately using commercially available rubber stoppers.

    When fitting parts, do not remove stoppers until shortly before installation.

  2. Open clamp -5-  using > VAS 6889 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers  and pull hose -6-  off the coolant reservoir.

  3. Disengage the valve -7-  and set it aside with the lines connected.

  4. Loosen coolant reservoir -1-  .
    1. 4.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on the fill level sensor -8-  .
    2. 4.2 Unclip line bracket -9-  and set electric line aside.
    3. 4.3 Unscrew screws -10-  and loosen coolant reservoir -1-  .

  5. Open clamp -11-  using > VAS 6889 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers  and pull hose -12-  off the coolant reservoir.

  6. Guide out the coolant reservoir.
