WARNING:
Hot fuel and hot fuel lines.
- Danger of scalding
→ Allow the fuel to cool down before opening line connections.
→ Wear protective gloves.
→ Wear protective goggles.
NOTE:
Incorrect handling of pipe and line connections
- Risk of damage to components
- Leaks
→ Do not put too much pressure on pipe and line connections.
→ Always counter the lines when loosening and fastening them.
- Remove ignition coils.

Removal shown at the right on high-pressure pump to rail.
- Loosen fuel line (high-pressure pump to rail) -1-

- 2.1 Unscrew union nut -2- on fuel collection pipe.
- 2.2 Only at the right on high-pressure pump to rail:
Unscrew union nut -3- on high-pressure pump.
Information
- Do not bend high-pressure lines. Check that the connection points are not damaged and are perfectly clean and check that the screws/bolts are not seized and that there is no thread damage. Fit union nuts on all connection points by hand before screwing in screws or bolts. Remove dirt on the conical/ball joints. Check connection points for leaks following fitting.
- 2.3 Press fuel line (high-pressure pump to rail) -1- aside slightly.
