Removing Front Loudspeaker (In Dashboard) At The Side

NOTE: Voltage peaks 
  • Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit 

    → Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

  1. On vehicles with Burmester High-End sound system (I-no. 9VJ): 

    Remove front loudspeaker (in dashboard) at the side -3-  .

    1. 1.1 Unscrew and remove screw -2-  .
    2. 1.2 Loosen screws -1-  until the front loudspeaker (in dashboard) at the side -3-  can be pulled out.

      Loosen front loudspeaker (in dashboard) at the side

    3. 1.3 Pull out front loudspeaker (in dashboard) at the side until the electric plug connection -4-  is accessible.
    4. 1.4 Release and unplug electric plug connection -4-  .
    5. 1.5 Remove front loudspeaker (in dashboard) at the side.

  2. On vehicles with Sound package 1/sound package (I-no. 9VK): 

    Remove front loudspeaker (in dashboard) at the side -1-  .

    1. 2.1 Open clamps -2-  .

      Opening clamps

    2. 2.2 Loosen front loudspeaker (in dashboard) at the side -1-  until the electric plug connection -3-  is accessible.
    3. 2.3 Release and unplug electric plug connection -3-  .
    4. 2.4 Remove front loudspeaker (in dashboard) at the side -1-  .
