Assembling Heater

Information 

• When ordering spare parts, bear in mind that there are different repair sets and sealing sets for diesel and petrol heaters. 

Information 

• Check components for damage. Pay particular attention to the sealing faces on the components and any seals that may be stuck on. 
• Replace components with damaged sealing faces or seals.

  Component overview of heater

  Assembly is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

1. Clean the various components before assembly.
2. Replace any seals.
3. Tighten all screws to the prescribed tightening torque.
   1. 3.1 Screws -1-  securing cover for electric motor to combustion air blower > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.) 
   2. 3.2 Screws -3-  securing cover to combustion air blower > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.) 
   3. 3.3 Screws -8-  securing cover for control unit to heat exchanger housing > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.) 
   4. 3.4 Screws -11-  securing retaining clip to heat exchanger housing > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)
