Installing Coolant Regulator Housing

1. Replacing seals -1-  on the coolant regulator housing -2-  .

   Coolant regulator housing

   1. 2.1 Positioning coolant regulator housing -1-  .
   2. 2.2 Screw in screws -2 to 10-  .
   3. 2.3 Tighten screws -2 to 4-  (M6 x 40).

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 

   4. 2.4 Tighten screws -5 to 10-  (M6 x 25).

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 

3. Install guide tube for oil dipstick -1-  .

   Guide tube for oil dipstick

   1. 3.1 Replace seal on guide tube for oil dipstick.
   2. 3.2 Insert guide tube for oil dipstick -1-  in direction of -Arrow-  .
   3. 3.3 Tighten screw on guide tube for oil dipstick -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.) 

4. Secure cable duct -2-  .

   Cable duct

   1. 4.1 Position cable duct -2-  .
   2. 4.2 Screw in and tighten screws -1-  .

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 

5. Install coolant hose -2-  .

   Right coolant hose

   1. 5.1 Push coolant hose at the right -2-  onto both connections.
   2. 5.2 Fasten spring band clamps -1-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers  .
6. Secure coolant hose -2-  .

   Left coolant hose

   1. 6.1 Push coolant hose -2-  onto connection.
   2. 6.2 Fasten spring band clamp -1-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers  .
7. Secure vacuum line -2-  .

   Vacuum line holder

   1. 7.1 Position vacuum line -2-  .
   2. 7.2 Screw in and tighten screw -1-  .

      > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.) 

8. Clip vacuum line -1-  into clip -2-  .

9. Connect and lock electric plug connection -1-  on coolant regulator housing -2-  .
