Installing Rear PCCB Brake Disc

Information 

Do not confuse the rear PCCB brake discs at the left and right during installation!

Distinguishing feature: Part number! The flat surface of the rear PCCB brake discs is marked with R = right or L = left!

  1. Only when re-using brake discs: 

    Check thickness of rear disc brake pads.

    > 463802 CHECKING THICKNESS OF REAR BRAKE PADS 

  2. Only when re-using brake discs: 

    Check rear PCCB brake discs.

    > 465402 CHECKING REAR PCCB BRAKE DISCS (WEAR ASSESSMENT) 

  3. Clean the levelling and centering surfaces on the rear PCCB brake disc and wheel hub.
  4. Apply a very thin coat of Optimoly TA to the centering surface on the wheel hub.
  5. Further installation is performed in reverse order.
  6. Screw in and tighten screws for rear PCCB brake disc. >Tightening torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.) 
  7. Screw in and tighten brake calliper screws.

    > Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.) 

    > Final tightening + 70° 

  8. Cancel brake pad change mode using >9900 - PIWIS Tester 3  .
    1. 8.1 Select → 'Brake electronics (PSM, incl. parking brake)  ' in the 'Control unit overview  ' and press 12 to confirm your selection.
    2. 8.2 Select → 'Cancel brake pad change mode  ' under 'Drive links/checks  ' and start the procedure.
