Installing New Radial Shaft Seal

  1. > 9829 - Assembly fixture  must be ready.
    1. 1.1 Insert screw -5-  .
    2. 1.2 Slide on sleeve -4-  .
    3. 1.3 Slide new  radial shaft seal over the sleeve -4-  .
    4. 1.4 Fit outer guide sleeve -3-  .
    5. 1.5 Insert inner guide sleeve -2-  .
    6. 1.6 Screw in nut -1-  .

    Installing radial shaft seal

    Information 

    Leave the nut -1-  on the > 9829 - assembly fixture  tightened for one minute to allow the sealing ring to settle.

    Press-in tool for radial shaft seal

  2. Press in radial shaft seal using > 9829 - assembly fixture  by tightening the nut -1-  and countering at the screw -5- 
  3. > 9829 - Assembly tool  must now be removed.
  4. Check that the radial shaft seal is flush with the cover on the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK).
