Removing Double Clutch Transmission

  • Risk of squashing or crushing 

    → Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

  1. Unscrew screws -1-  and remove bracket -2-  .

  2. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for crankshaft pulse sender -1-  .

  3. Disconnect wire harness for starter.
    1. 3.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  and cut tie-wrap -2-  .

    2. 3.2 Open line bracket -1-  .

    3. 3.3 Unclip clamp -2-  and guide out electric wire harness for starter -3-  by pulling it back towards the transmission.

  4. Disconnect electric wire harness for transmission -3-  .
    1. 4.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1-  .
    2. 4.2 Unclip clips -2-  and set electric wire harness for transmission -3-  aside.

    Information 

    The ATF pan must cover the complete surface of the transmission jack.

    If this is not the case, the gap at the ATF pan must be filled with a suitable object (piece of wood).

  5. Support transmission at the ATF pan -1-  using transmission jack -2-  and secure with a retaining strap.

  6. Unscrew screws -Arrows-  on the transmission support.

  7. For all-wheel drive vehicles: 
    1. 7.1 Remove connecting shaft -3-  .

      Using impact puller 9799

      1. 7.1.1 Fit > 9799 - impact puller  using 4 screws -2-  at the groove in the connecting shaft -3-  .
      2. 7.1.2 Remove connecting shaft -3-  from the all-wheel final drive -Arrow-  using > 9799 - impact puller-1-  .
  8. Unscrew screws -1-  and -2-  .

    CAUTION: Heavy components 
    • Risk of squashing 

      → Wear personal protective gear.

      → Get someone to help if necessary.

  9. Guide out transmission.
