Removing Refrigerant Line Between Compressor And Condenser - Front Section

WARNING: Refrigerant 
  • Danger of freezing 

    → Avoid contact with refrigerant.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    → Observe the safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and handling refrigerant.

    → Observe the safety regulations for extraction and filling systems.

    → Observe the instructions for repairing air-conditioning systems and storing spare parts.

NOTIFICATION 

Opened refrigerant system for repairs. 

After opening the refrigerant circuit, close off the refrigerant lines/connections immediately using the relevant

→ stoppers. To avoid contaminating the refrigerant circuit, the stoppers for the different refrigerants must be stored and used separately.

→ The desiccator must be replaced if the air humidity is high and if the refrigerant circuit is left open for a long time.

  1. Disconnect front section -1-  from rear section -2-  .

    Connection point for front/rear sections - compressor/condenser line

    1. 1.1 Unscrew screw -3-  .
    2. 1.2 Disconnect rear section -2-  from front section -1-  .
    3. 1.3 Disengage front section -1-  of the compressor/condenser line from the line bracket -4-  .
    4. 1.4 Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
  2. Remove front section -1-  of compressor/condenser line.

Rear section - compressor/condenser line

  1. 2.1 Unscrew screw -2-  .
  2. 2.2 Disconnect front section -1-  from the condenser -3-  .
  3. 2.3 Guide out front section -1-  of the compressor/condenser line by pulling it upwards.
  4. 2.4 Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
