Removing Air Conditioning Compressor

WARNING: Refrigerant 
  • Danger of freezing 

    → Avoid contact with refrigerant.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    → Observe the safety regulations for working on air-conditioned vehicles and handling refrigerant.

    → Observe the safety regulations for extraction and filling systems.

    → Observe the instructions for repairing air-conditioning systems and storing spare parts.

NOTIFICATION 

Opened refrigerant system for repairs. 

After opening the refrigerant circuit, close off the refrigerant lines/connections immediately using the relevant

→ stoppers. To avoid contaminating the refrigerant circuit, the stoppers for the different refrigerants must be stored and used separately.

→ The desiccator must be replaced if the air humidity is high and if the refrigerant circuit is left open for a long time.

  1. Remove air-conditioning compressor -1-  .

Air-conditioning compressor

  1. 1.1 Disconnect refrigerant lines -2-  .
    1. 1.1.1 Unscrew and remove screws -3-  .
    2. 1.1.2 Disconnect refrigerant lines -2-  from the air-conditioning compressor -1-  .
    3. 1.1.3 Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
  2. 1.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -4-  .
  3. 1.3 Unscrew and remove screws -5-  .
  4. 1.4 Guide the air-conditioning compressor -1-  out of the engine compartment.
