Removing Exhaust Pipe

WARNING: Emerging fuel

Risk of fire
1. → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
2. → Collect emerging fuel, absorb it if necessary with a suitable binding material and dispose of properly.
3. → Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.
4. → Attach warning sign to vehicle in a clearly visible position.

Hot components

Risk of burns
1. → Let hot components cool down.
2. → Wear personal protective gear.

Detach flexi-pipe for silencer -1- .

Flexi-pipe on silencer
1. 1.1 Loosen screw-type clamp -2- .
2. 1.2 Pull flexi-pipe for silencer -1- off the exhaust pipe.
Disconnect fuel line -1- from heater.

Fuel line
1. 2.1 Loosen spring band clamp -2- using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamps pliers .
2. 2.2 Disconnect fuel line -1- .
3. 2.3 Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
Loosen heater with holder -2- from the body.

Mounting for heater
1. 3.1 Unscrew and remove screws -1- .
2. 3.2 Pull out heater with holder -2- in direction of travel and suspend it at a suitable place in the wheel housing.
Unscrew screw -2- .

Exhaust pipe on holder
Remove exhaust pipe -2- .

Exhaust pipe on heater
1. 5.1 Loosen screw-type clamp -1- .
2. 5.2 Remove exhaust pipe -2- from heater.
