Installing Fuel Line (From Connection In Front Wheel Housing To Rear Underbody)

Information 

• There is no guarantee that re-used clamps will secure the component properly. 
• Removed clamps must be replaced. 
• Always use new clamps during installation. 

Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

1. Push on fuel line as far as it will go or as far as the marking on the fuel hose.

   Minimum overlap: 25 mm 

2. Tighten screws for stone guard -2-  .
   • Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

3. Tighten nuts for stone guard -4-  .
   • Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

4. Tighten screws for cover on fuel lines -2-  .
   • Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

5. Pre-fill the fuel system.
   1. 5.1  Connect the PIWIS Tester  to the vehicle and switch on ignition.
   2. 5.2  Select Auxiliary heating (fuel) control unit  in the control unit overview.
   3. 5.3 Maintenance/repairs  must now be selected.
   4. 5.4  Select Line filling  and press Next and follow the instructions on the PIWIS Tester.
