Removing Coolant Temperature Sensor (Engine Temperature Control)

  • Danger of scalding 
    1. → Avoid contact with hot fluid.
    2. → Wear personal protective gear.

Information 

When the engine is cold, the cap on the coolant reservoir can be opened briefly in order to release residual pressure in the cooling system.

  1. Remove coolant temperature sensor for controlling engine temperature -1-  .

    1. 1.1  Have suitable aids ready for catching any emerging coolant
    2. 1.2  Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  .
    3. 1.3  Unscrew screw -3-  .
    4. 1.4  Remove coolant temperature sensor for controlling engine temperature -1-  .
    5. 1.5  Catch any emerging coolant using suitable aids.
