Installing Fuel Pump

Information 

• There is no guarantee that re-used clamps will secure the component properly. 
• Removed clamps must be replaced. 
• Always use new clamps during installation. 

Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

1. Push the fuel line onto the fuel hose as far as it will go or as far as the marking.

   Minimum overlap: 25 mm. 

2. Fit and tighten screws on stone guard -2-  .
   • Tightening torque 20 (1 5 ftlb.) Nm

3. Fit and tighten nuts on stone guard -4-  .
   • Tightening torque 20 (1 5 ftlb.) Nm

4. Pre-fill the fuel system.
   1. 4.1  Connect the PIWIS Tester  to the vehicle and switch on ignition.
   2. 4.2  Select Auxiliary heating (fuel) control unit  in the control unit overview.
   3. 4.3 Maintenance/repairs  must now be selected.
   4. 4.4  Select Line filling  and press Next and follow the instructions on the PIWIS Tester.
