Assembling Heater

Information

All components must be checked for damage before assembly. The sealing faces on the components and any fixed seals, in particular, must be checked.
Components with a damaged sealing face and/or seal must be replaced.

Assembly is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following:

Component overview of heater
1. 1.1 Clean components before assembly.
2. 1.2 Replace seals.
3. 1.3 Tighten screws securing cover for electric motor to combustion air housing -1- .
  - Tightening torque 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.)
4. 1.4 Tighten screws securing retaining clip to heat exchange, housing -11- .
  - Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)
5. 1.5 Tighten screws securing cover to combustion air housing -3- .
  - Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)
6. 1.6 Tighten screws securing cover or control unit to heat exchanger housing -8- .
  - Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)
